Paul Carroll on the internet

UPDATE:
I have been “watching” the game on Game Tracker. Point by point scores, who did what, stats and a nifty animation of the action. Love it! Pepperdine found it hard early, but went on to win 3-2 (28-30, 28-30, 32-30, 30-27, 15-8: they play to 30)
ORIGINAL POST:
I had trouble connecting to the semi final match in the MPSF conference yesterday. Paul Carroll’s dad had a little more success. If you want to try at 12.00pm Melbourne time today, head to the Long Beach site.
Paul Carroll’s Pepperdine will be playing Brigham Young for the conference title, and the automatic entry into the National NCAA final four.
The Waves have one of those “you-can’t-stop-him, you-can-only-hope-to-contain-him” guys in 6-foot-7 Australian Paul Carroll, who had 57 kills in the two matches against BYU earlier this season. Carroll had 21 kills in the semifinal win over Long Beach State, including 10 in Game 3.
“Carroll is going to get his kills,” Patchell said. “We’re not gonna stop this guy. We’ve got to get some timely blocks and dig a few balls. Hopefully, we’ll play a well-balanced match.” more
