This is a spectacular achievement for Paul. I know that the level of men's college volleyball gets criticised but let me tell you the good players here are very very good, and Paul is the best of them. In my mind he has made a much smarter long term choice than just going straight to Europe after high school and the AIS. Would he be a better player if he went straight to Europe instead of coming to the US? Hard to argue one way or the other, lets just say that he has probably set himself up a lot better than most by at least getting a degree. We all know that your professional career can be tenuous at best (one knee away from obscurity)so at least he has something to fall back on, and hopefully he never needs to.
CONGRATS PAUL !!!
