Scotch College is one of Melbourne’s leading APS Boys only Volleyball schools. We currently have several vacancies for coaches to work with Year 7 & 8 teams. The role will begin late January 2010 and continue till the end of term 1.
Ideally the successful coach will gain more coaching at Scotch in future seasons.
We are looking for an individual with some coaching background in volleyball with energy and enthusiasm.
Job description
Assist current coaches and teams by developing athletes through a consistent disciplined approach, using skill based coaching.
Talent identification within existing teams and communication to Firsts Coach and Director of Coaches to ensure our Firsts team continues to find great developing athletes
In liaison with the Teacher In Charge and Director of Coaches, ensure the values of the school are upheld
Plan, conduct and evaluate training sessions in Term 1, 2010.
Other aspects of the role

Develop a competitive, team focused playing style in liaison with the Director of Coaches.

Ensure team discipline of the highest order.

Aim to have players attain required fitness levels.
- Ensure players strive to attain the required technical skills.
During the season training is held twice weekly and the days will depend on what team is allocated to the successful incumbent.
Matches are played at various locations on Saturday mornings.
Payment is negotiable dependant on qualifications and experience
